Jen Senko

Documentary Filmmaker

Jen Senko is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, author and media activist. Her documentaries are; Road Map Warrior Women (2000), The Vanishing City (2010) and The Brainwashing of My Dad (TBoMD) (2016) (narrated by actor Matthew Modine). TBoMD, which was adapted into a critically-acclaimed book (2021), tracks the divisive and dangerous rise of right-wing media, how it divided Americans, and gravely wounded our democracy. The story is told through the lens of her father whose personality radically changed after his immersion into this right-wing media. In 2021, TBoMD won the prestigious Webby People’s Voice Award in Public Service & Activism. It was under contract with Andrew Lloyd Webber for 5 years to be developed into a musical.

Jen is frequently a guest on various political podcasts and was recently a guest on Joy Reid’s MSNBC show, The Reid Out. She has appeared as a guest on Brian Stelter’s Reliable Sources and Ari Melber’s (MSNBC) show, The Beat.
