Roz Davidson has been working with children and families in the London Borough of Lewisham for 28 years since 1993 and was the Centre Leader at a Children’s Centre in Lewisham from 2003 for 9 years, working closely with families affected by domestic abuse before opening her own company in 2013. Roz is now the Director of The Positive Parenting Company and a National Domestic Abuse Consultant and Trainer, delivering preventative and recovery interventions for families that have experienced domestic abuse and providing support with local areas’ responses by shaping strategies and introducing pathways into the local community.
Since opening her own company Roz has worked across Lewisham, Greenwich, Southwark Bromley and Redbridge boroughs delivering interventions including, Triple P, Teen Triple P, Escape the Trap, The Freedom Programme and CODA (Children Overcoming Domestic Abuse).
Roz joined AVA (Against Violence and Abuse) in 2018 as an associate trainer and now delivers training across the country as a National Trainer for the CGP programme. Roz also delivers training for professionals including Effects of Domestic Abuse on Children, Domestic Abuse and Coercive Control, Domestic Abuse Awareness and MARAC, VAWG and RIC training.
Roz has worked as a partner for the Lewisham Home Office CADA funding and introduced the Prevent, Protect Repair framework as part of this strategy. Roz also consulted on the script, as a part of this funding, for the Timekeeper film which highlights how children are victims of coercive control. Roz has recently worked as a consultant on behalf of the Early Years Alliance to support with the implementation of their local domestic abuse offer. Roz is currently still supporting Lewisham Local Authority with their CADA funding and also a new project focused on working directly with Children’s Social Care.
